Purchase Ledger Team Leader

LNT Construction Limited, part of LNT Care Developments are looking for a full time Purchase Ledger Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day delegation of work to the team.
• Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions / seeking clarification from internal or external sources while providing assistance and coaching to the team.
• Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations. Dealing with supplier issues and complex queries while escalating to Purchase Ledger Manager where required.
• Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for specific suppliers (circa 30% of time)
• Prepare weekly BACS payment runs and ad hoc daily faster payments to ensure suppliers are paid as directed by the Purchase Ledger Manager or Financial Controller
• Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments.
• Support in training new team members in Company’s processes and controls.
• Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met.
• Support manager in improving the team processes and controls.

Key Requirements:

• Accounts Payable experience in a high volume, fast paced environment ideally in a medium/large business
• Experience of 2-way and 3-way match
• Sage 200 experience preferred.
• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Experience supervising people preferred
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Ability to communicate with different levels of organization both internally and externally.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel.
