Programme Planning Manager

About us

LNT Care Developments is the UK’s leading specialist developer and contractor of purpose-built residential care homes. With over 30 years’ experience and a fully vertically integrated delivery model, we are recognised for setting industry standards in care-led design, build quality, and regulatory compliance.

LNT Construction Limited, part of the LNT Care Developments Group, is seeking an experienced Programme Planning Manager to lead the planning and programming of multiple care home developments across our national portfolio. This key role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising project programmes, working closely with construction, commercial, design, and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The successful candidate will have extensive construction planning experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a strong understanding of project sequencing, critical path analysis, and programme risk management.

Purpose of role

Working with the Managing Director, Commercial Director and Construction Directors the Programme Planning Manager will take day to day responsibility for aiding our Construction Director & Site Manager teams to monitor the LNT construction programme across the UK. The Programme Planning Manager will provide visibility at a UK wide level to external sub-contractors & internal disciplines. The role involves building clear coordinated roadmaps across all our activities and taking ownership of reporting against key performance indicators.

The role requires an in-depth understanding of the construction process, particularly within a ground works context, and an acute understanding of the critical path of our builds is a must. The candidate should be comfortable with solving problems relating to delay, not simply recording them, but advising on possible solutions to slippage. Using the programme to model outcome, and suggest several possible options of resolution. Being proactive and supportive is therefore a must. This is not simply a contractual record of the programme but a real world model, used by the LNT team to solve slippages, handle delays, and identify key risks. You will be comfortable with difficult conversations, using data and facts to back your point of view. The role is highly collaborative. You will be working with the commercial, finance and senior executive teams, and therefore confident in your analysis, and confident in your communication of it.
