Pre-Construction Technical Coordinator

LNT Care Developments are the UK’s leading Care Home developer and are looking to recruit a Pre-Construction Technical Coordinator to join our team.

Key responsibilities and expectations of capabilities:

  • To support the Pre-Construction function alongside the Technical Manager and Development Director.
  • Managing technical project documentation and undertaking some administrative tasks.
  • Assist in the production of technical reports and contract drawings, which will require a proficiency in the use of CAD.
  • Review, interpret and summarise drawings, specifications, site investigations, topographical surveys, ecological documents and other typical assessment reports with a good understanding of all components.
  • Identify financial, design, production and contractual risks/opportunities.
  • Initial negotiations/enquiries with statutory bodies on environmental, drainage, highways and other engineering issues.
  • Collaborate with the pre-construction team to support project planning, ensuring timelines and key milestones are achieved.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues and other external professionals to support the overall success of the project.
  • Participate in quality control processes, reviewing project deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Attend and participate internal launch and handover meetings alongside the Planning and Construction departments.
  • Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of improving contribution to the organisation’s goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use own initiative to gain information on a project or widen own knowledge.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in pre-construction and development, preferably within the Residential sector.
  • Experience of assisting with coordinating a wide variety of projects and dealing with volume.
  • Ability to prioritise, negotiate, motivate and communicate.
  • The individual will have good time management, is well organised, has good attention to detail, is able to participation in meetings, works to restrictive deadline whilst having accuracy in all areas.
  • Awareness and basic understanding of planning, financial and legal processes.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

Good IT literacy in Word, Excel and emails.
