Assistant Commercial Manager

You will be required to:

• Assist with sub-contract enquiries at tender stage and ensuring all sub-contractors have had the required information to enable them to provide timely quotations.
• Agreeing scope of works and fees with subcontractors for packages.
• Review Sub-Contractor quotes, complete comparisons and raise Sub-Contractor orders.
• To assist the Commercial Manager with updating the weekly sign off sheets for the Board of Directors.
• Proactively working with the Construction Directors on site procurement and supporting allocated projects.
• Provide updated site forecast costs each month.
• Where required, assist the Finance Management Team with cost enquiries for Site Budgets.
• Provide support and cover where required to the Commercial Manager.
• Attend Pre-Construction meetings, Cost Meetings and Sub-Contractor meetings as and when required.
• Assisting with Accounts queries.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

• Proven experience within a Subcontract Buying role.
• Essential to have construction knowledge.
• Desire to understand and promote the company purpose, vision and values.
• Sage knowledge. 
• Essential to have Microsoft Office Knowledge

Qualification and Skills:

• Relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
• A self-starter with a can-do attitude and a desire to pick up new challenges. Dedicated to working together to achieve results.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
