Posted on the 03 Aug 2018

LNT Care Developments (“LNT”) has bought the former Police Station in Chippenham for a 66-bed care home. Planning has been submitted to Wiltshire Council and will provide residential and dementia care for those aged over 65 years.

Using their in-house software, LNT identified an undersupply of quality care beds in Chippenham and having secured the site on Wood Lane, is pleased their building will provide a much-needed resource to the local community and create 50 local jobs once open.   Once complete, the facility will offer residents outstanding accommodation with fully en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas, and state-of-the-art amenities including a cinema, library, garden room and tea shop, all surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.

Nick Broadbent, LNT Care Developments Development Director said:

“We’re really pleased to be able to bring this much needed facility to the community in Chippenham. LNT Care Developments specialises in constructing care facilities that are designed to enable the delivery of quality care for the future residents.  Utilising best practice dementia design, in quality modern surroundings, we have ensured that our plan for the site at Wood Lane reflects the needs of its users and will aid them to live as independently as possible for as long as possible.”

Planning documentation is currently being considered by Wiltshire Council.  Following a successful planning application, construction will begin on the site in Spring 2019.
