LNT Care Developments has received planning permission to build a 72 bed care home on Long Leys Road, Lincoln

The City of Lincoln Council Planning Committee approved the planning application on 8th November 2017 for the care home.  The facility will provide residential and dementia care for those aged over 65 years.

Construction is due to start February 2018 with a predicted completion date for March 2019.  Once complete, the home will be a strong community facility, integrating with the nearby local facilities of shops, churches and schools. It will provide outstanding accommodation with fully en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas, and state-of-the-art amenities including a cinema, library, garden room and tea shop, all surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.

The home is designed to best enable the delivery of quality care and provide a positive lifestyle choice for local people who may be frail, elderly or living with dementia.

Christine Cooper, Project Director at LNT Care Developments, said:

“We are delighted to be building such a fantastic care home for Tanglewood.  It is also great news for Lincoln, creating 50 jobs in the local area and providing a high quality resource for elderly people in the local community. The facility will incorporate intelligent dementia design and be eco-friendly by benefitting from ground source heat pumps, solar thermal panels and LED lighting keeping utility costs low.”

Tracy Ann Shelbourn, Founder of Tanglewood said:

“Our Lincoln care home is the start of a new and exciting journey for the company, we have felt reassured by the professionalism of the LNT team and their knowledge of the care sector, we look forward to working together over the coming months. Welcoming our first resident’s and their families to Tanglewood (Lincoln) in February 2019 will be an exciting time for our team. I feel honoured and truly delighted to be part of this exciting period in the company’s history.”
