LNT Care Developments Plans Care Facility in Kettering

Posted on the 19 Jun 2017

LNT Care Developments (“LNT”) has bought land in Kettering for a 66 bed care home. Kettering Borough Council approved the planning application in November 2016 for the care home, which will be owned and operated by Oakdale Care Group.  Part of a larger residential development, the facility will provide residential and dementia care for those aged over 65 years.

Using their in-house software, LNT identified an undersupply of quality care beds in the area and having secured the site on Westhill, is pleased their building will provide a much needed resource to the local community and create 50 local jobs once open.

Once complete, the home will be a strong community facility, integrating with the nearby local facilities of shops, churches and schools. It will provide outstanding accommodation with fully en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas, landscaped gardens and state-of-the-art amenities including a cinema, library, garden room and tea shop. The home is designed to best enable the delivery of quality care and provide a positive lifestyle choice for local people who may be frail, elderly or living with dementia.

Christine Cooper, LNT Care Developments Project Director said:

“We’re really pleased to be able to bring this much needed facility to the community in Kettering. LNT Care Developments specialises in constructing care facilities that are designed to enable the delivery of quality care for the future residents.  Utilising best practice dementia design, in quality modern surroundings, we have ensured that our plan for the site at Westhill reflects the needs of its users and will aid them to live as independently as possible for as long as possible.”

Chris Babington Director at Oakdale Care Group said:

“We are delighted to be able to deliver the Oakdale philosophy of providing Exceptional Care in Outstanding Surroundings to Kettering.  The great location will provide a wonderful tranquil setting for our residents yet remains close to the local amenities of Westhill and Kettering. This will be the 4th home in the Oakdale Care Group portfolio and one we believe through its location and immediate surroundings allows us to complement the existing development in Westhill.  Our luxury home will provide all-inclusive living to the elder people in the area and create over 50 jobs and we are looking forward to being an integral part of the community.  The luxury home will feature a cinema, hair and beauty salon, library, garden room and numerous lounges for our residents to enjoy.”
